What is the Carriere Distalizer?

The Carriere Distalizer is an orthodontic device that is formed by a small, metal bar. This bar is placed on the teeth, bonded to an upper molar tooth and an upper canine tooth. Elastic bands are used on the device to add tension. Over time, the teeth will slowly begin to shift, effectively correcting the bite. It is a relatively quick solution and is barely noticeable.

Studies have been performed on the effectiveness of the Carrier Distalizer. Overall, results were positive in addressing malocclusion. While the Carriere Distalizer may not fix every problem, it does work well when teeth have not erupted correctly.
