Runnels Extras: The Finishing Touch on a Beautiful Smile

Perhaps you’ve already undergone orthodontic treatment. Or maybe you know that you need treatment and are looking forward to getting started and learning about your options. Whether you’ve recently had your braces removed or you’re just beginning with orthodontics, Dr. Runnels is proud to offer Runnels Extras to polish off all of your hard work! Treatments include teeth whitening, sports mouth guards, and laser gum sculpting, and each one aims to perfect your beautiful smile in its own way. You can get all the facts about our Runnels Extras during a consultation at one of our offices, but below is a brief overview.

Teeth Whitening

As the name suggests, this treatment is designed to whiten the teeth. Here at Dr. Scott Runnels Orthodontics, we offer a number of teeth whitening treatments, including in-office procedures and take-home options like Vivera retainers. After this treatment, patients can enjoy a bright, beautiful smile for years to come with the right oral hygiene practices and lifestyle habits.

Sports Mouth Guards

These devices are must-haves for anyone playing sports. Many of those who have engaged in sports without the use of mouth guards know all too well how costly this can be. It’s important to note that although sports mouth guards are available over the counter, we strongly advise against purchasing these. It’s always best to go to a qualified orthodontist for this type of device.

Laser Gum Sculpting

A “gummy smile” is considered to be unattractive to most, and that’s why laser gum sculpting is such a popular treatment in our Runnels Extras services. This innovative procedure uses specialized techniques in order to reshape the gums and/or remove excess gummy tissue. The end result is a beautiful smile, especially when the treatment is used as part of a comprehensive Runnels Extras treatment plan that includes other procedures like teeth whitening.
