Invisalign Hero Award 2018
Through Dr. Runnels’s strategic partnership with Invisalign®, he has been able to serve the Emerald Coast for 20+ years. Dr. Runnels was nominated and won the Invisalign® Hero Award, he was honored at the 2018 Invisalign Ortho World Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr.Scott Runnels and staff recently had the honor of meeting a new patient, Tammy Tucker, with a moving breast cancer survival story. Tammy’s testimony deeply inspired Dr. Runnels who has become passionate about helping families save their child’s cord blood from birth which can be used in the treatment of nearly 80 diseases, including various types of cancer and blood diseases. Breast cancer is one of the many diseases that cord blood can help treat. Although Tammy did not use cord blood to win the fight against breast cancer, she is a light to all those fighting and a reminder of why The Lily Bell Hope Foundation exists. She is an example and a testament of someone who overcomes in the face of adversity and Dr.Runnels felt blessed to have her as part of our practice, and was proud to provide her complimentary care. Dr. Runnels recently received the honor of accepting the Children’s Volunteer Health Network’s “Volunteer Provider of the Year” award for 2015. Over 10 years ago, Dr. Runnels partnered with CVHN’s founder, Tricia Northcutt, to provide necessary treatment for a young boy struggling with his self-esteem. Tyler was the first patient treated and his case is what launched the organization off the ground. Words cannot describe how rewarding it has been for Dr. Runnels and the entire staff to work alongside CVHN over the years. Since the organization’s infancy, Dr. Runnels has treated a multitude of patients and continues to change lives each year.
Dr. Runnels recently received the Certificate of Appreciation for Destin Middle School’s Adopt A Class Program! We love being a part of the development of young minds in our community!
